Doyoo — Terms and Conditions of Use
Effective date: 28 September 2026 Last updated: 28 September 2026
These Terms and Conditions (the "Terms") are a binding agreement between you and the provider of Doyoo ("we", "us", "our"), and govern your use of the Doyoo mobile application for iOS (the "App") and the related backend services (together, the "Service").
By creating an account or using the App, you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the App.
These Terms include a zero-tolerance rule on objectionable content (section 8), disclaimers (section 13) and a limitation of our liability (section 14). Please read them.

1. The Service
Doyoo is a video challenge app. Through the App you can:
- browse challenges and see the ones you created or joined in My Challenges;
- create a challenge, either from one of our templates or from scratch, giving it a title, a task for the participants, and a deadline or time limit;
- join a challenge created by someone else;
- invite people to a challenge, either through a share link or by picking a contact with the iOS contact picker;
- record a video in the App, or choose an existing video or photo from your library, and post it as your entry;
- take part in the challenge's group chat, sending text and video messages to the other participants;
- see the list of participants, block a user, and report a user, a message or a challenge;
- manage your profile and settings, and delete your account.
The App does not include video or audio calls, and currently offers no purchases or subscriptions. The Service is provided for personal, non-commercial use.
2. Eligibility and age
- You must be at least 13 years old, or 16 if you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or another jurisdiction where 16 is the minimum age for consent to information-society services. Where local law sets a higher minimum age, that age applies.
- If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the App only with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian, who accepts these Terms with you.
- You must not use the App if you are barred from doing so under the law that applies to you, if you are subject to applicable sanctions, or if we have previously terminated your account.
- You confirm that the information you give us at sign-up is accurate.
We may remove an account when we have reason to believe the holder is below the applicable minimum age.
3. Your account
- You create an account with a phone number or an email address and a one-time verification code. Keep that identifier and the codes sent to it under your control.
- You are responsible for everything that happens under your account. Tell us immediately at support@doyoo.live if you suspect unauthorised access.
- One person, one account. Do not create an account for someone else, sell or transfer your account, or use another person's account.
- Your display name, alias and profile photo must not impersonate anyone, must not infringe anyone's rights, and must comply with section 8.
4. Licence to use the App
We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use one copy of the App on Apple-branded devices you own or control, as permitted by the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions, solely for your own non-commercial use.
You must not, and must not allow anyone else to:
- copy, modify, translate, adapt or create derivative works of the App;
- reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the App, except to the extent that applicable law expressly permits it despite this restriction;
- remove or alter any proprietary notice;
- rent, lease, lend, sell, sublicense or distribute the App or access to it;
- access the Service through automated means (bots, scrapers, crawlers) or use any undocumented or private API;
- circumvent rate limits, authentication, moderation, deadlines, blocks, bans or any other technical measure;
- probe, scan, overload, disrupt or attack the Service or its infrastructure, or upload malicious code;
- use the Service to build a competing product or to train machine-learning models on other users' content.
We reserve all rights not expressly granted.
5. Challenges
- Creating. When you create a challenge you choose its title, the task, and its deadline or time limit. You are responsible for the task you set. Do not set a task that asks participants to do anything dangerous, illegal, degrading, sexual, or harmful to themselves or others — see section 8. Tasks of that kind will be removed and may cost you your account.
- Joining. Joining a challenge is voluntary, and taking part is always your own choice. Never do anything that risks your health or safety, or anyone else's, because a challenge asks you to. You may leave a challenge at any time.
- Visibility. A challenge's entries and group chat are visible to its participants, who may include people you did not invite. Post accordingly.
- Deadlines and expiry. When a challenge reaches its deadline or time limit, it expires: it is removed from the lists, no new entries or messages can be added, and its content is deleted on the schedule in the Privacy Policy.
- Deletion by us. We may remove any challenge, entry or message that breaks these Terms, and may close a challenge at any time.
- No guarantees. We do not promise that anyone will join your challenge, view your entry, or reply to you. We do not run, judge, referee or award prizes in any challenge, and we are not a party to anything you agree with other participants.
6. Invitations and contacts
- You may invite people with a share link or by choosing a contact with the iOS contact picker. The picker runs on your device; we do not read or store your address book (see the Privacy Policy, section 4).
- Invite only people who would want to hear from you. Do not use invitations to send bulk, repeated, commercial or unsolicited messages, and do not import or use contact details you are not entitled to use.
- If you share a challenge link outside the App, anyone who has the link may be able to see and join that challenge. Sharing it is your decision.
- We may limit how many invitations you can send, and may withdraw the feature from an account that abuses it.
7. Your content
"Your Content" means everything you post, upload, record, send or otherwise make available through the Service — videos, photos, challenge titles and tasks, chat messages, your profile name and photo.
- You keep ownership. These Terms do not transfer ownership of Your Content to us.
- Licence to us. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable licence to host, store, reproduce, transcode, resize, adapt (only for formatting and delivery), transmit and display Your Content solely in order to operate, secure, moderate, support and improve the Service. The licence lasts as long as we host the content and for the limited retention periods in the Privacy Policy afterwards. We do not use Your Content in advertising or promotion without your separate, explicit permission.
- Licence to other participants. By posting in a challenge you allow its participants to view your entry and messages inside the App.
- Your promises. You confirm that, for everything you post: you own it or have all necessary rights; it does not infringe anyone's intellectual property, privacy, publicity or other rights; and every identifiable person in it has agreed to appear and to be shown to the challenge's participants — and, where that person is a child, that their parent or guardian has agreed.
- Do not film people who have not agreed, do not post someone else's private or intimate material, and do not post content recorded in a place where filming is not allowed.
- Deleting. You can delete Your Content and your account (section 12). Deletion removes it from the Service on the schedule in the Privacy Policy, but we cannot recall copies other participants have already saved or re-shared, and we may retain content attached to an abuse report or required by law.
- Feedback. If you send us suggestions, we may use them freely, without obligation to you.
8. Objectionable content and prohibited conduct — zero tolerance
We operate a zero-tolerance policy on objectionable content and abusive behaviour. Do not create, post, send or share anything, and do not set any challenge task, that:
- sexually exploits or endangers a minor in any way, or depicts a minor in a sexual or suggestive manner — we report this to the competent authorities and to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and terminate the account permanently;
- is pornographic, sexually explicit, or otherwise sexually exploitative;
- depicts or promotes self-harm, suicide, eating disorders, or a dangerous act likely to cause physical injury — including "blackout", choking, burning, consumption, fall, jump, traffic or weapon-related stunts;
- harasses, bullies, threatens, stalks, doxxes, blackmails or intimidates anyone, or encourages others to do so;
- is hateful towards or dehumanises a person or group on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, caste, religion, disability, disease, age, sex, gender, gender identity or sexual orientation;
- depicts or promotes violence, gore, cruelty to people or animals, or terrorism, or glorifies a violent extremist organisation;
- promotes, sells or depicts the use of illegal drugs, controlled substances, weapons, explosives, or other regulated goods;
- is illegal, facilitates a crime, or breaches any law that applies to you or to us;
- infringes anyone's copyright, trade mark, privacy, publicity or other rights;
- is deceptive — impersonation, fake identity, manipulated media presented as real, phishing, scams, pyramid or investment schemes, or misleading claims;
- is spam — bulk, repetitive, automated or commercial content, advertising, or promotion of another service;
- discloses someone else's personal data without their agreement;
- is intended to defeat moderation, evade a ban, or abuse the reporting tools with false reports.
How we enforce this
- Reporting. Every user, message and challenge can be reported from inside the App. Reports reach our moderation team with the surrounding context attached.
- Blocking. You can block any user. A blocked user's messages are hidden from you, and they cannot contact you in the App.
- Review. We review content in the App, automatically and by human moderators, and we review every report we receive. We aim to review reports within 24 hours.
- Action. Where a report is upheld we remove the content and, depending on severity and history, warn the account, restrict its features, suspend it, or terminate it permanently and eject the user from the Service. Serious cases are actioned immediately and without warning, and may be referred to law enforcement.
- Appeals. If you believe a decision about your account or content was wrong, write to support@doyoo.live and a person will look at it again.
Filing a report in good faith never counts against you. Filing false reports does.
9. Availability, updates and changes
- The Service is provided on an "as available" basis. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation, and we may suspend it for maintenance, security, or reasons beyond our control.
- The App is in an early stage. Features may be added, changed, limited or removed, and behaviour may change between versions.
- We may release updates through the App Store. Some updates are necessary for the Service to keep working, and an outdated version may stop functioning.
- We may impose reasonable limits on uploads, file sizes, message volume, challenges and invitations.
- We may discontinue the Service or any part of it. Where we discontinue it entirely, we will give you reasonable notice in the App where practicable so you can save your content.
10. Privacy
Our handling of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy (https://doyoo.live/privacy), which forms part of these Terms. In particular: we do not upload or store your address book; challenge entries and chats are visible to the challenge's participants; and you can delete your account in the App, after which it is permanently deleted at the end of a 30-day grace period.
11. Intellectual property
- The App, the Service, our templates, our name, logos and designs are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property law. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right in them beyond the licence in section 4.
- The App includes third-party open-source components, each under its own licence. The applicable notices are available in Settings → About → Legal.
- Copyright complaints. If you believe content in the App infringes your copyright, send a notice to support@doyoo.live with: identification of the work, identification of the content and where it appears, your contact details, a statement of good-faith belief that the use is unauthorised, a statement that your notice is accurate, and your signature. We remove infringing content, notify the poster, accept counter-notices, and terminate repeat infringers.
12. Suspension and termination
- By you. You can stop using the App at any time, leave any challenge, and delete your account in Settings → Account → Delete Account. Deletion starts a 30-day grace period, during which logging back in reactivates the account; after 30 days the account and its data are permanently deleted, except what we must keep under the Privacy Policy.
- By us. We may suspend or terminate your access, with or without notice, if you break these Terms, if we are required to by law, if your account is used to harm others or the Service, or if you are below the applicable minimum age. Where the law requires notice and a reason, we will give them.
- Effect. On termination the licence in section 4 ends and you must stop using the App. Sections 7 (as to licences already granted), 11, 13, 14, 15, 16 and 19 survive.
13. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy or quiet enjoyment.
We specifically do not warrant that: the Service will meet your requirements; it will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free; defects will be corrected; content will be preserved, backed up or recoverable; or that other users, their content or their conduct will be lawful or appropriate.
Content and conduct of other users. Challenges, entries and chat messages are created by users, not by us. We do not endorse them and we are not responsible for them. We are not a party to, and take no responsibility for, anything you agree, arrange or do with another user, whether inside or outside the App.
Your safety. Taking part in a challenge is your own decision and at your own risk. We are not responsible for injury, loss or damage resulting from an act you choose to perform for a challenge. If a challenge asks you to do something unsafe, do not do it — report the challenge instead.
Keep your own copies. Keep your own copy of any video or photo that matters to you. We are not a backup service.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties. In those places, the exclusions apply only to the extent permitted, and nothing in these Terms affects your non-excludable statutory or consumer rights.
14. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, data or content, however caused and on any theory of liability, even if we were advised of the possibility.
- Our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, which, while the App is free, is zero.
- Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or under mandatory consumer-protection law.
These limits apply even if a limited remedy fails of its essential purpose, and reflect an agreed allocation of risk in a free service.
15. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you will indemnify and hold harmless us, our affiliates, and their officers, employees and agents from any claim, liability, damage, loss and expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or connected with: Your Content; a challenge or task you created; your use of the Service; your breach of these Terms or of any law; or your infringement of a third party's rights — including a claim by a person who appears in content you posted. We may assume the defence of any such claim at your expense, and you will cooperate with us.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may change these Terms. For material changes we will notify you in the App or by email at least 14 days before they take effect, and we will update the "Last updated" date. Continuing to use the App after the change takes effect means you accept the new Terms. If you do not accept them, stop using the App and delete your account. Changes required by law or addressing a security risk may take effect immediately.
17. Apple-specific terms
This section applies because the App is distributed through the Apple App Store, and it prevails over anything inconsistent elsewhere in these Terms.
- These Terms are between you and us only, not with Apple. We alone are responsible for the App and its content.
- Scope of licence. Your licence to use the App is limited to a non-transferable licence to use it on Apple-branded products you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions, except that the App may be accessed by other accounts associated with you via Family Sharing or volume purchasing.
- Maintenance and support. We are solely responsible for providing maintenance and support for the App, at support@doyoo.live. Apple has no obligation whatsoever to furnish any maintenance or support services.
- Warranty. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Apple has no warranty obligation with respect to the App. If the App fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any); Apple has no other warranty obligation, and any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs or expenses attributable to a failure to conform to a warranty are our responsibility.
- Product claims. We, not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claims relating to the App or your use of it, including: product liability claims; any claim that the App fails to conform to a legal or regulatory requirement; and claims under consumer protection, privacy or similar legislation, including in connection with the App's use of HealthKit or HomeKit frameworks (which this App does not use).
- Intellectual property claims. If a third party claims that the App or your possession and use of it infringes that party's intellectual property rights, we, not Apple, are solely responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement and discharge of that claim.
- Legal compliance. You represent and warrant that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Third-party terms. You must comply with applicable third-party terms of agreement when using the App.
- Third-party beneficiary. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and, upon your acceptance, have the right (and are deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce them against you.

19. General
- Governing law and venue. These Terms do not designate a governing law or an exclusive forum. Applicable law and the competent courts are therefore determined by the default rules of private international law, which for consumers generally means the law and the courts of their country of residence. If you are a consumer resident in the EEA or the UK, you keep the benefit of the mandatory consumer-protection law of your place of residence.
- Informal resolution first. Before starting proceedings, please contact support@doyoo.live so we can try to resolve the matter. We will try to respond within 30 days.
- Entire agreement. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the Service and replace any earlier understanding.
- Severability. If a provision is held unenforceable, it is modified to the minimum extent necessary or severed, and the rest stays in force.
- No waiver. Our failure to enforce a right is not a waiver of it.
- Assignment. You may not assign these Terms. We may assign them to an affiliate or in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, on notice to you.
- Force majeure. Neither party is liable for a failure caused by an event beyond its reasonable control.
- Languages. These Terms are published in English and translated into the languages the App supports: Arabic, English, Spanish, Filipino, Portuguese, Russian, Tamil, Telugu, Turkish, Ukrainian and Vietnamese. If a translation and the English version conflict, the English version prevails, except where applicable local law requires otherwise.
